Smart air quality tracker measures pollution in your home

Alima indoor pollution tracker A French company has just launched a crowdfunding campaign for a home air quality monitor, which sends alerts on the volume of carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and volatile organic compounds (VOC) in your home. The Paris-based company already launched a successful Indiegogo campaign last year for the same device, then called AirBoxLab, but now the Alima startup hopes to gain funds to expand its small production run to a broad consumer launch, TechCrunch reports. The cylindrical device is designed to be stylish enough to display in the home, and its sensors track a number of air pollutants, including particulate matter, as well as temperature and humidity. Alima then forwards that data to the cloud and pushes results and advice to your smartphone, offering tips and solutions to improving air quality.
