OhMiBod announced on Wednesday that it has won the Red Dot Award for product design for its Lovelife line of personal massagers. Mathieu Pung, OhMiBod's in-house designer, said he aimed to create products that were "inherently approachable and intimate" and also noted the design challenge in creating products with "body-safe materials, features such as USB recharging, and a look that isn't overly 'ergonomic' but rather sculpturally neutral." OhMiBod's other products include the bluMotion massager, a discreet wearable vibrator that can be synched with music or a voice and, using a Bluetooth connection, can also be controlled remotely by a partner. Red Dot is celebrated as the most prestigious design competition in the world, with this year's event featuring over 4,800 entries from 53 countries.
