Pfizer confirms desire to buy AstraZeneca

LONDON (Reuters) - U.S. drugmaker Pfizer confirmed on Monday it made a bid approach to AstraZeneca in January and had contacted its British rival again on April 26 seeking to renew discussions about a takeover.
