Georgia to execute man despite claims he is mentally disabled

Warren Lee Hill, 54, is scheduled to be executed by lethal injection on Tuesday evening. An appeal by his attorneys to the U.S. Supreme Court was denied. The Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles on Tuesday refused to stop the execution, as did the state Supreme Court last week. Hill was condemned for beating prisoner Joseph Handspike to death in August 1990.
