Crohn's Patients at Higher Risk for Strokes, Heart Attacks, Study Says

Mayo Clinic scientists studying Crohn's disease have concluded that patients with this digestive disorder have an elevated risk of strokes or heart attacks. Also facing a higher risk are individuals with the disorder's first cousin, ulcerative colitis. These two illnesses represent the two main types of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
