Boeing invites more than a dozen sites to bid on 777 jet work

has invited more than a dozen U.S. locations to compete in a bidding process to determine where its new 777 long-haul passenger jet will be built, a company spokesman said. The company issued the request for proposals on Friday and requires that submissions be in by mid-December, spokesman Doug Adler said in an email.
